La Pista restaurant review

A brand new restaurant with an exclusive location (located at the top of the Lingotto) has recently been inaugurated. This is La Pista which we visited during our stay in Turin.

An innovative format that includes a restaurant and a cocktail bar (the latter at absolutely affordable prices, average cost of cocktails 12 euros) with very special characteristics that are located where the Lingotto track is located, one of the most anticipated novelties of summer 2021 which bear the signature of Gerla 1927. This is one of the best restaurants in town.ù

La Pista – location (Lingotto)

The Lingotto, with its legendary test track on the roof, represents one of the symbols of the industrial soul of the city and now – at the centre of this extraordinary stage – you can find La Pista Restaurant, overlooking the Turin hills and the Alps. It truly enjoys a splendid and unique view of the city.

Considering the peculiar location, it may not be very easy to find the restaurant, that’s why we strongly suggest you check for instructions when you call them to book your table (this is what we have been doing and we were absolutely grateful to the girl who gave us very detailed instructions on where to park and how to find it).

La Pista Restaurant review – the experience

This restaurant has an international soul and was born as a gastronomic place where different culinary proposals meet: coquillage, raw seafood, grilled selections, but also gourmet cuisine and lounge bar, together constitute the different facets of the restaurant.

The wine list is very extensive, with 350 references, including great iconic Italian and non-conventional, natural and biodynamic wines with particular attention to the world of
Champagne comes from long research on small producers (you will also find excellent bottles around 40/50 euros).

In the kitchen, the chef Roberto Cordisco, with experience in the most famous restaurants in Italy (he is a 33-year-old man, who boasts an excellent curriculum. He worked, in fact, for 6 years as a sous chef at Enoteca Pinchiorri, a three-star Michelin, 2 years with Cracco, 2 years from Marchesi and then with Cannavacciuolo) and the pastry is entrusted to the skilled hands of Evi Polliotto, General Pastry Chef Gerla 1927 Turin.

Outside, in the garden, there is the Lounge Bar where you can have a drink, a cocktail or enjoy an aperitif with a breathtaking view of the city. This is the best place where to enjoy a drink in Turin!

Very suggested 😊

La Pista review

Thanks to a friend’s recommendation we went to this new restaurant in Turin.

It’s a very elegant and tasteful atmosphere. The food is amazing, we especially focused on fish and raw-seafood dishes. Superb!

The service is good, maybe it can be better, but when we visited this restaurant it was newly open, maybe with some more experience the service will improve and further perfect.

The location is simply amazing, on top of Lingotto, from where you can enjoy an extraordinary view of Turin.

The spectacular view

Somehow a bit difficult to find the location (you better ask some tips when calling to book your table)
